giving kids tools for a happy life

Today's youth are more stressed then ever before. We are what Dr. Kristen Race calls,"A generation of stressed-out parents raising a generation of stressed-out kids." And, almost daily, we ask kids to focus, concentrate and pay attention, but we rarely teach them how.

Mindfulness can help.

Just Be Mindful offers in-school and after-school programs, as well as private sessions, to teach evidence-based mindfulness to youth in grades K-12.

Our program utilizes curriculum from Mindful Schools, Mindful Life and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) including lessons on:

  • Body Awareness

  • Mindful Listening

  • Brain Science of Stress & Anxiety

  • Stress Reduction Practices

  • Mindful Breathing

  • Responding vs. Reacting

  • Thoughts & Slowing Down

  • Kindness & Compassion

  • Managing & Accepting Difficult Emotions

  • Finding Gratitude

  • Mindful Walking

  • Mindful Eating

  • Pleasant vs. Unpleasant Moments

  • Body Scan Practice
