The benefits of mindfulness have been studied since the early 1970's, beginning with Jon Kabat Zinn's work at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. In the 1980's, mindfulness was introduced in the therapeutic setting with the advent of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. We are now in the third, rapidly-emerging frontier of mindfulness in the education and corporate fields. 


There are currently thousands of research studies on the benefits of mindfulness.
