Does your teen sometimes dislike going to school? Do they get nervous or anxious during a test or performance, or have trouble falling asleep at night? Does social media create challenges for your teen? This course will give teens tools to deal with the stress of school and friends. We will explore the brain science behind stress and use mindfulness to learn how to better to deal with it. Teens will walk away with 10 specific mindfulness practices they can use during times of stress as well as a list of resources for starting a personal mindfulness practice. We will also make a calming glitter jar to help us relax. For youth entering grades 6-12.
