The Just Be Mindful Journey

Just Be Mindful is based on over a decade of my work teaching mindfulness and yoga to people of all ages. I am a member of the International Mindfulness Teacher Association and also a Registered Yoga Teacher. In addition to a lengthy career in corporate marketing and also managing my sister company Project Strong Girls, I have worked in and taught at multiple elementary, middle and high schools, supporting general education students and also students with special needs. I have also taught incarcerated youth and those with adverse childhood experiences.
My personal mindfulness journey began over a decade ago and it has supported me daily in dealing with life's ups and downs. I received training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) from the renowned University of Massachusetts Medical School's Center for Mindfulness and I am a certified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for Teens instructor. Additionally, I am trained to teach both the Mindful Schools and Mindful Life curriculum and I have completed the Prison Mindfulness Institute's Path of Freedom training. I have also received training from Daniel Rechstaffen's Mindful Education organization as well as multiple trauma-informed yoga trainings from Niroga Institute, Street Yoga and Yoga Behind Bars. I teach through a trauma-informed lens and while I believe that mindfulness can help just about everyone live a healthier, happier life, I realize that it is not a magic bullet or cure-all.
Ultimately, mindfulness teaches us how to better connect with ourselves so that we can better connect to others and the world around us. Mindfulness has helped me to better manage my own stress, grief and anxiety and it is my life's work to share these resources with others.
